Signal over noise for EMDR clinicians.
An independent publication for clinicians who want source-led EMDR research, practice, training, and field movement.
Why EMDRNews Exists
EMDRNews is an independent publication for clinicians who want to separate useful clinical signal from professional noise. It tracks EMDR research, practice, training, and field movement, and reports what each source actually says before the claims get loud.
The aim is practical: help EMDR-trained clinicians stay current, think clearly, and use the model with confidence and fidelity.
What We Cover
Four desks and a weekly brief, each built on primary sources.
Research Watch
Study summaries that keep findings and their limits on the same page, so a result never travels further than the evidence supports.
Practice Briefs
Clinical questions answered clearly, without standing in for consultation or supervision.
Field Watch
Conferences, training, funding, and organization signals, tracked and dated as they move.
Analysis
Longer reads on where the field is heading and what it means for your practice.
The EMDRNews Podcast carries the same brief in audio, narrated and reviewed before release. EMDR Resources and EMDR for Veterans point to official sources, not care promises.
How We Work
Source-led, not hype-led. EMDRNews cares what a paper, training, or professional claim says, what it does not say, and what a careful clinician would want to know before passing it on. Sources are linked in context. When a document changes, the page is updated and the change is shown.
About the Curator
EMDRNews is curated by Timothy Vermillion, DSW, MS, EdM, LCSW, BCD, a doctoral-level clinician, EMDRIA-Approved Consultant and Trainer, and Army National Guard Behavioral Health Officer. His work centers on trauma treatment, veteran mental health, and clinical excellence in EMDR practice and consultation.
